If you don’t have the ability to reclaim your shell, definitely use an Etherial Diapason if you have one available (you’ll know you can reclaim your shell by the tiny white dot in the bottom left corner of the screen). They aren’t tough enemies, but there are a lot of them, and you have to drop down into the area so you can’t retreat like normal. This part is rough as there are a bunch of enemies. You can probably see the final pillar up ahead. Finally, take on the mallet man and start your way up the slope behind him. Bring the swordsmen back into the previous area if needed. There are two more elite swordsmen here and also a mallet man. Enter a small opening leading to a circular area. You will see more enemies on your left - ignore them for now. Continue on and hug the right wall where possible. Take it slow and try to fight one at a time. There’s a black and red skinny, and two elite swordsmen. Carefully drop down to the platform below and continue toward a giant black tree. Approach the giant structure straight ahead and move around to the left side of it. Stare back up at the torches and this time, head to the left side of the room. Retrace your steps all the way back to the first pillar you activated at the bottom of the stairs in the center of this big room. Take your time clearing them out and then grab the chest. The final archer is guarding a chest straight ahead. There will be a few more red and black skinny enemies. Now head towards the other red enemies ahead. Then go interact with the pillar and also grab the perfumed censor (hammer and chisel upgrade).

Pull the mallet man back to a safe area if needed to deal with him. There are more archers and red guys further ahead. Hopefully, mallet man hasn’t noticed you yet. A running attack followed by a single will take an archer out with a +4 Hallowed Sword. Do your best to run in and take one out at a time. The pillar you need to interact with is in the middle of all of them. You’ll see those black archers I mentioned earlier. You’ll see a large structure straight ahead. Now turn to your right and head that way.

Look back up at the large staircase where the three torches were. Try to take them out quickly.įrom this pillar. These ones do not do the fire AoE, but rather send out a shockwave of rocks from the ground that can hurt you. Head down to it now.Īs soon as you interact with the pillar, two ghosts will spawn. Turn around and look back down the stairs to see the first interactable pillar. The torches are extinguished by interacting with pillars spread out across this open area. This is where we need to go, but first, we need to extinguish the three torches in order for the way to open. Take out the enemies and check out the giant staircase leading upwards. There are also black versions of these that are archers. These red skinny things dish out some mean melee damage but have low HP. Facing back toward Sester G and the entrance, take the teleporter on the right. There isn’t far that you can go here, but if you head back to where you entered this large room, you’ll notice two teleporters, one on each side of the door.

There are some ornate tokens off to the right and some tar down a long path on the left. After passing through the door you will enter a huge wide-open area. This approach continues to work throughout the game. Fly in for a hit or two before hardening and retreating.

Approach the exit to take on the man with the mallet. Immediately after, head to the right wall and attack the centermost fireplace-looking structure for Etching 12/17. Speak with Sester G on the left for a checkpoint and grab the weltcap in the center of this room. Use the tunnel on the right and then hug the left-hand wall all the way back up to the Seat of Infinity. I will mention it again before we beat the next boss.įrom Sester G in the tower, head out to the Grisha room across the way. Start saving now and buy it sometime between now and the next boss. This ability costs 2,500 tar and 15 glimpses. You will need this ability for a different achievement anyway, but I wanted to state it now so that you can save some tar/glimpses and make sure you purchase it before we complete the next temple boss. As far as I know, it can only be acquired with the shell ability Recollection of Knowledge (bottom center perk on all shells). One important note before continuing: In the next temple, there is one item that is very hard to reach which is required for the Familiarity achievement.
